D700 and Nikon WT-4

Yesterday the postman came with my Nikon wt-4 . And today i was having a little bid time to install this wireless trigger with my Nikon D700. I was thinking it just takes 10 minutes , but i was so wrong. it took me more than one hour to install the whole package to made it compatible with my D700 . And i can tell you why now :

On the internet they keep seeing that you have to go in the set-up menu from your Nikon D700 to set-up the USB option , but your D700 doesn't have the option USB in the set-up menu.

When you get the WT-4 first take a look if you have the new firmware 1.1
than the installation cd that is with your wt-4 is also version 1.0 you can do the installation but you have to download the newer version 1.2.0 from the Nikon website .

Oh and when you're done and try to test it , than check first if you have a CF card in you're camera. It is correct that you shoot directly to your laptop but first the camera has to save the made pictures to your CF card and then the WT-4 is sending the saved images to you're laptop. You can make a configuration in your D700 body under wireless transmitter that the camera delete the images if the WT-4 has finished with sending the pictures to your laptop.

Skun Anansie

Afgelopen zondag 26-06-2011 was ik voor maxazine.nl als schrijvende pers aanwezig bij het concert van Skunk Anansie.

Op een zonnige zondag gaf niemand minder dan Skunk Anansie een optreden op de bouwplaats van Ziggo Dome. Dit optreden van Skunk Anansie was de eerste in een reeks van speciale Ziggo Under Construction Concerten, die leiden naar de grote opening van Ziggo Dome in het voorjaar van 2012. De genodigden die bij dit optreden aanwezig waren konden zich de afgelopen weken met een speciale actie op het internet letterlijk naar dit concert toe schreeuwen via een decibel meter. Er werd tevens tijdens dit concert een videoclip opgenomen en ben erg benieuwd naar het eindresultaat. De naam Ziggo Under Construction Concert verklapt het al een beetje. Het was een grote bouwput. Het podium was volledig in elkaar gezet met bouwmateriaal. Het gebouw zelf gaat vanaf April 2012 plaats bieden aan 16000 toeschouwers, maar staat nu nog volledig in de steigers. Het was een mooi gezicht om te zien hoe 300 bezoekers door een promo team gele bouwhelmen toegereikt kregen en zo het miniconcert bijwoonde. Door dat het concert voor maar voor 300 gehelmde genodigden was, ontstond er een leuke intieme sfeer. Met haar openingsnummer 'Charlie Big Potato' kon het miniconcert van start gaan. Het podium was zo opgebouwd dat men er helemaal omheen kon lopen. Drie uitlopers reikten naar de twee gitaristen en de drummer. Omdat het zo was opgebouwd, ook zonder dranghekken, zou je haar tijdens het concert kunnen aanraken. Zij zocht zelf haar interactie met het publiek, je kon zien dat ze ze er erg van genoot. Natuurlijk mocht er tijdens dit miniconcert haar gouwe ouwe hits, zoals 'Hedonism' en 'Weak' niet ontbreken. Met haar laatste nummer 'Skank Heads' stond werkelijk iedereen te klappen en te springen. En erg jammer dat dit het laatste nummer was van haar kort maar krachtige concert. We hadden graag meer willen horen, maar aan alle mooie dingen komt helaas een eind. Niet getreurd, want bij het verlaten van het concert kreeg iedere bezoeker een goed gevulde goodybag met daarin niets minder dan haar laatste album 'Wonderlustre' en zo konden we op de lange weg terug naar huis nog na genieten.

This picture is portrait from my dad, I made this with my nikon D300 and the 50 mm 1.8 . The shot is made with 2 elinchrome lights. I was using also the sunbounce it was on the floor.I shot the picture on F/16 , 1/125 on iso 400 .I made this shot also with my hasselblad 500 cm with the 150 mm and the fuji neopan 400.I will upload the hasseblad picture this week, First i have to scan it with my Epson V750 scanner.

My good old F4

I'm starting with a new photo serial. My goal is to make pictures with minimal light and bouncing and using the light in a creative way.I made this with an D300 and a 60 mm macro f/13 1/100 iso 400.
